Audiverify exists to document, not to decide. These are the principles that guide every feature we build, every policy we set, and every dispute we handle.
We Document, We Do Not Judge
Audiverify is a documentation platform, not an arbiter. We record declarations exactly as submitted by the creator. We do not evaluate the validity of claims, adjudicate disputes, or determine ownership. That is for courts, collecting societies, and the parties involved.
Transparency Over Authority
Every certificate on this platform is a timestamped declaration -- a public record of what someone claimed, when they claimed it, and what audio file it was attached to. The verification page shows what we can confirm (the record exists, the hash matches, the date is authentic) and explicitly states what we cannot (ownership, originality, legal rights).
Equal Access for Everyone
Independent bedroom producers and major label catalogs get the same SHA-256 fingerprinting, the same timestamping, and the same verification links. There is no tier of service that makes one certificate more "official" than another. A certificate from a free-tier user carries the same technical weight as one from an enterprise account.
Your Data Belongs to You
Audio files are stored in encrypted object storage and are never shared, sold, or used for training. You can export all your data at any time. You can delete your account and all associated records. We are GDPR-compliant, and we treat data minimization as a feature, not a constraint.
We Serve the Creator Ecosystem
Our users include solo artists, producers, beat makers, AI music creators, labels, distributors, publishers, and studios. We do not favor one group over another. If you create music -- by any means, in any genre, at any scale -- you deserve accessible documentation tools.
Technology as Evidence, Not Opinion
When our content recognition system flags a potential match, we surface it as data for the parties to evaluate -- not as a verdict. Audio fingerprinting, SHA-256 hashing, and timestamping are forensic tools. We deploy them to create evidence, not conclusions.
